Moore Concrete designed an Attenuation Tank for Scottish Water in association with main contractor, Farrans Construction Ltd. Units were manufactured with a sloping invert, box outs and end walls.
East Street residents experienced ongoing issues with grey sewage water repeatedly overflowing during heavy rainfall, flooding gardens and the basements of the properties themselves. The attenuation tank installed at East End Park has resolved this issue, removing these properties from the flood risk register and providing peace of mind for local residents previously plagued by this ongoing issue.
The Helensburg project formed part of Farrans supported Scottish Water on their extensive NRSWA programme entailing temporary and permanent diversion of water and sewer infrastructure to support major civil engineering projects including the M80, Borders Rail Link, Airdrie to Bathgate Railway Line and the new Forth Crossing.
As there Construction Delivery Partner (CDP) on Scottish Water’s SR10 (2010-2015) programme, Farrans utility and civil engineering teams serviced Scotland from their hubs in Glasgow and Livingston.
