We supplied an asset BEBO Arch to the Heysham Bypass project to form a bridge over the Milestone Canal.
Along with asset International Structures for main contractor Costain, we were awarded a Certificate of Excellence at the 2015 Concrete Society Awards. At the time it was the largest precast overfill arch in the world.
The Heysham to M6 Link Road was of high priority to the transport sector in Lancashire. The new road connected Heysham and Morecambe peninsula to Junction 34 of the M6. The dual carriageway includes a footpath and cycleway along the entire route.
The T94 Arch Bridge Structure was installed over the Milestone Canal. It spans 28.6 metres with a height of only 3.2 metres. Over 60 precast units were made to achieve the total length of 36.735 metres.
