Business Management Higher Level Apprenticeship (HLA)

Moore Concrete’s Apprenticeship Programme is an opportunity that we pride ourselves in offering to students studying all levels of apprenticeships, providing them with the platform to upskill, develop their knowledge and gain relevant work experience alongside their studies. We have an on-site Apprentice Mentor who is available for unlimited support and guidance, as well as quarterly Apprentice Reviews to grasp a deeper understanding of what our Apprentices have learnt and how else we can accommodate them to help grow their technical ability within their role.

We are currently recruiting for an HLA Business Management.  This position provides a well-rounded learning experience, enabling the apprentice to gain valuable insights and practical skills by working across various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Human Resources (HR), Finance, Operations, and Customer Service. This hands-on exposure to the daily functions of these areas fosters a deep understanding of business management practices. By rotating through diverse roles, the apprentice will enhance their academic knowledge while building a strong foundation for a dynamic and versatile career in business management

Hours of Work:

Hours will be variable between 32 – 48 hours per week as needed. Standard hours of work will be Monday – Friday 08:00am to 17:00pm however flexibility to work overtime and/or Saturdays as necessary is essential. Please make HR aware of what day(s) you will require for day release to college / university.

Outline responsibilities:

• Bring high quality and efficient approach to all processes involved in.
• Use skills learnt within further education to bring across different approaches and outlooks on processes to work more efficiently – working alongside management to bring these points across.
• Drive continuous improvement of the quality-systems throughout the company. Ensure compliance throughout all projects in terms of quality standards.
• Represent the company in a professional manner with clients/potential clients when required.
• Involvement in projects of varying scale from conception right through to completion.
• Assess and understanding of project requirements.

Essential Criteria:

• Willingness to learn and upskill
• Studying or applying to study a Higher Level Apprenticeship in Business Management or related discipline
• Understanding of Health & Safety at work
• Flexibility in working hours and strong adaptability skills
• Good communication and teamwork
• An understanding of both written and spoke English

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous work experience in an office environment
• Adaptable and willing to engage with various departments to gain a broad understanding of the business.
