Since its formation in 1978, Moore Concrete Products Ltd has developed into a world class, quality focused, precast concrete manufacturer based outside Ballymena. The company is customer focused, ensuring the continued evolution of our extensive product range, designed to meet the requirements of civil infrastructure, agriculture and building customers across the UK and Ireland.
Due to the growth of our business, we are now recruiting for a Business & Finance Analyst to join our accounts team within the company, with a focus on our Civils Contract Costing and implementation of a new ERP system as well as to assist in maintaining company accounts, preparation of financial statements and internal and external financial audits.
Hours of work:
Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00 (40hrs per week). Flexi time system allows hours to be worked between 7am and 6pm.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage the contract costs process, liaising with various departments to collate all revenues and costs involved in our civils projects. Feedback the results in a timely manner and agree appropriate actions to improve results.
- Design, test, and implement the new ERP (Infor) system alongside our internal team, and provide the key point of contact for the Admin and Finance teams input to the new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) IT system for the business and ensure the new system is as efficient and effective as possible.
- Preparation of data for internal and external account audits.
- Assist the Finance manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly costings.
- Assist with other accounting projects, and any other duties within reason and capability as agreed by the Finance Manager.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline, or AAT Level 2 of above.
- Minimum 2 years experience, within an accounting role.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, or food industry.
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.
- Ability to work with various departments within the company to encourage achievement of company goals.
- Excellent organizing abilities and great attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria:
- Familiar with relevant computer software e.g., SAGE, Infor
- Experience in IT, ERP systems.
